Synopsis: När Beth och Kevins 8-årige son Joshua börjar prata om en låtsaskompis, som han kallar Z tycker de först att det är gulligt… Men med tiden upptäcker de alltmer hur det inte står rätt till med sonens nya vän. Det visar sig att Z har ett mycket dåligt inflytande på Josh och deras oskuldsfulla son blir mer och mer någon som de inte känner igen. Det är inte förrän när Beth börjar avslöja sin egna historia som hon upptäcker att Josh nya kompis, inte är så på låtsas ändå.
