Synopsis: Marianne & Leonard – Words of Love is a beautiful and tragic love story between Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. Their story began on the idyllic Greek island Hydra during the 1960s where they both were a part of a bohemian collective of artists, writers and musicians. The film focuses on their relationship during those amazing days on Hydra, a time of free love and open relationships, to how their love drove Leonard to become a musician.
