Synopsis: 30 year old Alice works as a machinist on the freight ship Fidelio that transports skips across the sea. Her Norwegian boyfriend has to wait patiently back in France as she travels around Europe. Her life is turned upside down when her first love gets a job as captain of the ship. They start an affair and in the same time Alice finds a notebook written by a former colleague who died in their cabin.
